In the constant quest for the next big thing that is going to capture the imaginations of us guitarists then seven and eight string guitars are so last year darling! The new battleground looks set to be how many frets you can fit on the guitar neck. Well at least it is if you are Washburn. The question you have to ask yourself is this – do you want 24 frets or is 29 better? If your answer is the more frets the merrier then with the Washburn Parallaxe PXS29FRT your dreams have come true. This super charged 29 fret super strat style guitar will certainly give you something extra. I have to admit that I struggle with 22 frets so this one is lost on me but will say that the guitar does look pretty damn good.

Washburn have designed the neck to be fast and allow easy and comfortable access to those upper frets. The look of the guitar cannot be faulted, this is a fret shredders wet dream.
Looking at the electrics the Washburn Parallaxe PXS29FRT is armed with a couple of Seymour Duncan pickups. In the bridge position you have the TB6 humbucker and in the neck position you have the single coil Seymour Duncan SCR1N cool rails. The combination of the two gives a great tonal range from clean punchy single coil tones to full on dirty distorted and everything in between. A great versatile pick-up combination.
