Amazing Leaf Guitar By Ezequiel Galasso

The amazing Leaf Guitar by Ezequiel Galasso demonstrates the potential of truly innovative guitar design.

I love guitar luthiers who challenge the concept of what a guitar should be.  So when I saw the amazing Leaf Guitar by Ezequiel Galasso it was truly love at first sight!

Let’s face it the shape of the guitar is not something that sees much innovation.  There are the bulk standard basic guitar shapes.  The classic acoustic guitar has never really changed and then there are the solid body stalwarts of the Strat, Telecaster, Les Paul and SG.  These I would guess make up the vast proportion of guitars sold.  You would therefore think that the guitar body is crying out for a bit of creativity and innovation.  But maybe us guitarists are just a little too conservative in our views of what a guitar should look like.  Perhaps it is this guitar body conservatism that stops guitar luthiers from letting their creative juices flow.

However, thankfully there are a few guitar luthiers out there who are challenging the concept of what a guitar should look like and coming up with ideas for guitar design that are truly amazing.

This is especially true for the amazing Leaf guitar by Ezequiel Galasso.

Ezequiel Galasso is an Argentinian guitar luthier well known for creating ground breaking guitars which are truly unique and by all accounts are amazing to play.  His guitar style is unorthodox which makes for totally unique creations which challenge his abilities as a craftsman as well as challenging the capabilities of the raw materials that he employs.

You can take a look at the Leaf Guitar in this You Tube video.  The guitar is played by the relatively unknown Juan Assabi who manages to really show off the capability of the Leaf Guitar.
